THE CONSULTATION

The consultation fee is $35 (does not apply to deposit or establishment). Your hair should be shampooed at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled consultation appointment. Hair should be free from any products such as conditioners, moisturizers, and oils. Your hair should be in its natural state - no blow outs, straightening or curl systems, etc. The kinkier your hair is ..the better!

 

The consultation takes about a hour. You will have an opportunity to ask questions about Sisterlocks® or Microloc(k)s and will be given several sample locks. Clients and loc practitioner will discuss past hair regimen and what to anticipate on your loc journey. Your custom quote will be provided based upon your density, hair length, curl pattern, and head size along with the earliest availability for your locs establishment. To secure your locs establishment dates on our books, a non-refundable deposit is required.

THE ESTABLISHMENT

Your establishment appointment was scheduled at your consultation on the most earliest date available. For Sisterlocks®, your Establishment date was for least 2 shampoos after your initial consultation (at least 2 weeks). Your Establishment Day, is your first day to a "new you"! A new transformation, a new path of discipline and commitment. You will find that embracing this journey into the loc world new life goals and ambitions are honed! So relax but keep your head straight to avoid irregular parting, bring a good book, magazine and plenty of snacks. Your establishment appointment will be scheduled for 2 consecutive days depending on if you are getting Sisterlocks® or Microloc(k)s and the length of your hair.

THE FOLLOW-UP

After your Sisterlocks® or Microloc(k)s  has been established, a the follow-up visit will be scheduled at least 2-3 weeks out. Follow-up are conducted within first 2-3 weeks post establishment. Nominal retightening session and fee may apply.

The follow-up purpose is to ensure your locs are progressing properly. Your loc specialist will check for any slippage, unraveling and bunching. An overall evaluation will be performed to determine how well the Sisterlocks® or Micro Interloc(k)s are holding up.

MAINTENANCE VISITS - ONGOING RETIGHTENINGS

• Required Sisterlocks® retightenings are scheduled in interval of 4-6 weeks (earliest date available on assigned loc specialist's calendar).

• Required Microloc(k)s retightenings are scheduled in an interval of 6-8 weeks (earliest date available on assigned loc specialist's calendar).
